Today's day started with a walk around the city again, which ended today in the shopping centre. On the way back to our accommodation we couldn't miss the opportunity to sing wherever we could - in church, in the square or in front of the barbershop. A delicious lunch of pasta, tuna, corn and vegetable salad was waiting for us at our accommodation. And then there was only one thing to do - to head to the westernmost part of the island to the town of El Cotillo.
About halfway there is the town of Lajares, where a mill stands almost intact. Even though there was a wall around it, it didn't stop us from finding a fallen iron chain, crossing it and then taking a picture at the mill. But back to El Cottilo. There we were greeted by strong winds and views of the sea, which was dotted with tiny black dots - surfers. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to catch any of them in action, but we still took something away from El Cotillo - memories (not just of the strong wind), a few photos, and even a T-shirt and hat for Cuba.
On the way back we still had a stop in Corralejo. From here we all take home souvenirs. And then off to our accommodation (on the way some of us stopped by the sea, where it was very windy), where Maty prepared delicious pancakes for us.
Tomorrow we are leaving this wonderful island. I believe that we will take away not only souvenirs, but mainly beautiful memories with friends, which nothing can replace.
